Charlotte Rose Keating is an Irish actor and writer. She has acted in plays, short films, commercials, music videos and a web series.
One of her earliest ventures in the world of performance was writing and acting in the school pantomime “Cinderella” when she was 12. She went on to be awarded a gold medal from the Irish Board of Speech and Drama (Final Grade), cementing her love of the craft.
Her theatre credits include the roles of Edith in The Plot, by Paula Lonergan, the Fool in King Lear and Voice in Siobhán Hickey’s "Voices". Charlotte also co-wrote and performed in The Craic Was Mighty at the Edinburgh Festival Fringe. While working with Down to Earth Community Arts, she co-devised and performed shows on social and environmental matters for primary school children.
Charlotte has acted in a variety of independent films selected for inclusion in both national and international festivals, including Linenhall Parade, Sheered Malice: The Raven Diaries, Mayfly and The Gates. She has also featured on the TV show Vikings.
In 2018, she received the Q102 “Search for a Star” award for her voiceover work.
Other projects include acting in A Dublin Christmas Carol, filmed during the pandemic to raise funds to support the work of The Order of Malta Knight Run, a homeless outreach service.
Recently, Charlotte reprised one of her favourite roles- the femme fatale, Titania, in No Drama Theatre’s radio-play version of Hardboiled, by Jonathan Shortall, and enjoyed re-connecting with the original stage-show cast via Zoom. Having completed the first draft of her novel, she’s been using lockdowns to get to know her characters better.
Charlotte is also a Chartered Accountant, a Life, Business and Creativity Coach and Trainer and the founder of Act On It Coaching.
